I purchased a RCA smart tv model SLD 48G45RQ. Unpacked it hooked it up cut TV on went through set up everything fine. Selected HDMI input that I would connect my Directv receiver to and plugged in receiver. Still everything working fine. Could NOT get the Directtv remote to program with tv. I thought that is ok until later that night when I went to turn off tv with the tv remote. Had to unplug the power to tv to turn it off. Called RCA support about it and they told me it was my receiver that was not allowing it to turn tv off. I unplugged the receiver from TV and the TV remote worked fine. Plugged receiver back in and tv remote would not power down tv. The tv remote would not even allow me to access the input for TV. Only things that would work was the sound and mute button. Tell me there is a fix for this.

How to control power switch for Creative Inspire audio receiver
I programmed my RC73 remote to control a Phillips TV and a Creative Inspire 5.1 audio receiver. It controls the TV just fine but for the audio receive it only seems to control the volume. Is there any way to setup the remote to control the power on my audio receiver? The remote does work with my TV so the only problem is with controlling the audio receiver.

How to program remote to go from RF to IR without reading off the TV
I had an issue with a remote that didn't work and followed the instruction that DTV provides and the next step was to order a remote. I never give up so I went to the other box I have and pulled up the menu to read about setting the remote from RF to IR or vice versa and there is what it said and what I did.
Hold the select and Mute buttons till the light blinks twice.
Then type 961
Then push down to choose the remote to go to IR mode
Then press enter.
IT WORKED!!
I'm thinking maybe the RF in the remote doesn't work or in the other box, not sure but this works perfect and should be provided as a step before buying a remote. I tried programming it for RF and it doesn't communicate in that mode but it's fine now in IR.

JVC remote programming code works when in programming mode, but doesn't work when programming complete?

Programming Genie Remote for JVC TV
When following the on screen set up for pairing the remote with our JVC TV, the code matches up, as instructed I try the volume up/down, it works fine. As soon as I hit 'done' on the screen, the volume no longer works on the remote, although you can change channels, pause, rewind, etc.
Am I doing something wrong?

I can't use the -12hrs feature on the guide.
I can go forward 12 hrs by using the fast forward key. if I use the fast rewind key nothing happens.

Missed it/watch now doesn't work
When I tried to use the Miss it? watch now function on a movie I missed the day before. isn't this suppose to go back 72 hours? The movie wasn't in the list of things to watch. I'm sure I have the right channel and the right time frame. anyone else have this problem?

why did my remote stop working the DTV receiver?
I have an HR-44 receiver and the remote suddenly stopped working. The remote still operates the TV and Stereo as normal. I have twice reset the receiver to no avail. Now using my phone to control the receiver... Any idea?

Remote Question
I have an new RC73 remote. After a couple weeks of use it reported low batteries. I replaced them and a short time layer I got the same message. I then reseated the batteries and shortly got the same message. I can still use the remote. Any suggestions?

RC73 won't program for Sony STR DN850 .
Is a choice, I chose it, it says successfully loaded then it doesn't work, and yes I rebooted the system.
Worked fine with the "Dish Network" remote, any thoughts?

RC73 will not control Sony STR DH520
When I follow the programming instructions, it will turn the unit on, and it controls the volume, but once I leave the programming mode, it will no longer turn the Sony on or off, but still controls the volume.

How do remotes stop working on only some keys?
I have three identical remotes RC65 in the house and they all have started to not fire on power 'OFF' button and be intermittent on some other buttons e.g. power 'ON', FFWD. Batteries are new and the contact that is visible shows no corrosion. This started on all three in the last 3 months.

I cannot program my RC71 to control my Samsung TV or control the volume on my Yamaha receiver.
I have Reset the Remote, several times, and tried to Program the RC71 but it just gets stuck in the Remote Not Programmed loop.
I have an HR44 Genie, Samsung TV and Yamaha Rx-V765 receiver. I know the RC71 will not turn the Yamaha on/off but it did control the volume when I first got DirectTV.
I can not find any real solutions for this so any help to solve this would be greatly appreciated!
