RC73 Genie remote setup code for TCL Roku tv

I just got a TCL Roku TV (model 40FS3750) from Costco and tried to set it up to work with my RC73 Genie Remote.  However none of the codes for the TCL tv brand worked properly (volume does not work, although the tv turns on/off); also there are no codes for Roku.  I found on the forum that Dynex worked with the RC72 remote; and after some experimentation found that the Dynex DXR32TV code worked for me (the DXR32 did not work). 

 

Has anyone else had this issue or found a better code that will work with my particular TCL Roku model and the RC73 Genie Remote?

 

Hopefully in the future DirecTV will update their codes to work with the new TCL Roku TV models.

RC65RBX as second remote in RF mode for Genie Client Reciever

I am trying to use the RC65RBX as a second remote in RF mode for a Genie Client Reciever.  I have reset both the Genie and the Client and have reset both remotes.  I cannot get the RC65RBX to program in RF.  I have seen mixed answers in the forum as to if this is possible.  Thanks in advance to any suggestions or solutions.

I need codes for my lg and sony to program my remotes . Sony KDL52V5100   LG 50L S4000.   My boxes are no where near my tv i am in rf mode so this type your model and auto program has not worked Please help ?

I just purchased a Bose CineMate 15 home theater speaker system in an attempt to upgrade our sound experience. I was told at the time of purchase that I would be able to control it's basic functions with my Directv RC72 remote control. After installing and going through the list of possible remote codes on the Directv  list, I noticed my Bose model was not listed. I tried all possible codes but with no luck. I called Directv tech support & was told at this time there wasn't anything that could be done. They couldn't tell me when/if ever a code was going to be updated. Is there anything else that I can do? Does Directv update there codes on any kind of a schedule? A little frustrating knowing if I purchased a lower model of surround sound it would be compatible.

RC 73 Audio Receiver Power Question

I have an Onkyo TX-DS787 audio receiver and a new HR/44 200 Genie. When I go through remote setup for the RC73, I am able to control volume, power on/off fine. I can use the RC 73 for audio volume also after exiting remote setup but I cannot power on or power off the audio receiver, just the TV and HR/44. Is there some "trick" to be able to switch the RC 73 to access the audio receiver for power on/off?

 

Tech support sure doesn't understand the RC 73 very well, by the way.

New ULTRA HD TV need help with old remotes

Just got a Samsung Smart TV so my old TV universal remote needs to be upgraded.  I need to know the nuances of IR and RF in purchasing a new remote to run my TV and two DVRs.

 

I run an old workhorse HR20/700 with a RC34 remote and beside it a HR21/200 with RC23 remote. This HR21 is set on AV1. These work fine so don't want to upset this combo if possible, as my wife uses the RC34 and RC23s at her chair..

 

So do I need a universal remote that is both IR and RF.?

 

As a side note, my new universal remote need to be Macro capable also as I am severally hearing impaired and need TV Bluetooth feed into my hearing aids. Reason for Macro is that this TV requires 4 cumbersome menu steps to tune Bluetooth into the hearing aids. Then 3 more cumbersome menu steps to turn on both the TV sound in room and in my hearing aids.

 

So my need is to find a universal remote to run the TV and both of the Direct TV DVRs.

Universal Remotes so much latency when trying to do anything??

What's going on with the remotes, we have an he dvr & a genie in spots where there is nothing that should be interfering with its use. It's an ongoing problem according to the forums so what is the resolution to this? We've tried all the troubleshooting steps & when we call in their is no resolution or we get out on hold then disconnected! Please keep your customers happy & discover a software patch or replace our remotes free to one that will work.

Program RC73 Remote to RCA PRK65A65RQ

I am trying to program my RC73 Directv remote to my RVA TV, model number PRK65A65RQ.  I have gone through the I don't know the model number and have found a code that works, number 5 of 65.  The volume works, then i click on the It Works button, then the done button.  After that the remote will not work to change the volume on the TV.  It will turn the TV off but cannot control the volume with the Directv remote.  Please help with this.

 

I am not sure if it is because the TV is new or because it has Roku with it.

Hello I am trying to program a RC 71 as a second RF remote for a C41W-100 Genie Client Receiver.  I have been researching this and have tried using the copy settings on the receiver.  It didn't work and is now grayed out.  Holding Mute & Enter Keys does nothing.  Choosing setup the remote in RF and following the onscreen prompts does nothing.  This shouldn't be this difficult.  Can anyone help please?

 

Thanks in advance.

 

I should note that this second remote functions in IR but not in RF.  The original remote is still working in RF.

RC73 Genie Remote to Control Vizio S4251w-b4 soundbar

I'm trying to get my RC73 remote to turn my Vizio soundbar on/off and control volume.  I've tried going into settings, entering the Vizio model #  and also tried the "I don't know my model" option but both resulted in a failure to program the remote. I keep getting "There was an issue programming your Vizio Audio with your remote.  Retry or set up later.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I have no idea what is going on but when I set up the genie remote to control my TV it will control the volume DURING PROGRAMMING ONLY.  When I select the it works button the remote quits controlling the volume.  It will still turn the TV on and off but will no longer control the volume.  I tried 17 codes that I received via help center online chat and those did nothing.  Any solutions out there?  I'm totally confused as to why it would work DURING programming but NOT after.

i have already programmed my Toshiba TV to the remote but when trying to add the Soundbar it won't complete.

 

I Tried searching for my model number HTCT780 but it's not in the list.

 

I tried using a similar model HTCT370 but it didn't work.

 

Is there a code for the 780 or a trick I should try?

Some of the number keys on the remote unit have stopped working, as if the keys are worn out.  How can I get a replacement unit?

New HR44 will not pair existing genie remote with Vizio TV

A few days ago, the hard drive failed on my HR44, and I was sent a new model.  The set up was uneventful, but the remote which worked perfectly with the TV (power and volume) but when I go through the process of programming it, ("Adding Vizio Television attempting code 1of 1") only one Vizio code is apparently programmed in the receiver, and it is the wrong one.

 

any ideas how to get past this so I don't have to use multiple remotes?

 

for some reasons this site is not allowing me to reply to questions using the "reply" button, so I have to do so here as an edit.

 

There is no model number.  It is the

Genie® Remote

Back-lit model.  The only number I can find on it is inside the battery case on a label RC3053702/01BR

 

Even the Directv on-line store doesn't provide a model number.

 

My remote does not have a number on it, but the model sold seems to be NC71 or RC71.   Mine never had any numbers on it.

 

DIRECTV Universal Remote | Genie TV Remote

 

New Receiver is the same model as the old, HR44-500
